A complete solution for hygienic and efficient hot water preparation: The 100-liter ETWS domestic hot water storage tank combines a high-performance internal heat exchanger with corrosion protection and a large magnesium shield. The system is complemented by the OWR1 SMART 3 kW heating element with integrated Wi-Fi app control for flexible, demand-based reheating.

Hot water storage tank – design and function

The storage tank heats domestic hot water centrally via a highly efficient plate heat exchanger (surface area 1.2 m², capacity 5.27 L) and is designed for connection to solar thermal systems, boilers, or solid fuel systems. It also features a circulation connection and is prepared for a 1 1/2" The electric heating element makes the storage unit versatile.

Corrosion protection and insulation

Inside, a high-quality enamel coating protects the drinking water storage tank, complemented by a large magnesium sacrificial anode. The thermal insulation made of densely foamed polyurethane (PUR) reduces heat loss and improves energy efficiency.

OWR1 SMART heating element 3 kW – Overview

The retrofittable heating element with 3.0 kW output is to be installed horizontally and has a 1 1/2" AG connection thread. The nickel plating ensures durability, and the included Schuko plug facilitates commissioning without fixed wiring.

Operating modes and app control

The heating element offers manual mode, ECO mode (factory setting 55 °C), intelligent mode with learning function, schedule mode (hourly/daily/weekly), absence mode, boost function, frost protection, and anti-legionella cycles. Temperature, schedules, and operating modes can be controlled worldwide via Wi-Fi and app.

Safety and hygiene

Automatic protective functions such as frost protection, an anti-Legionella cycle (30 minutes at 60 °C every 15 days), and a mechanical temperature limiter at 85 °C ensure hygienic and safe operation. Continuous temperature monitoring minimizes risks to both the equipment and the user.
