Particle separator OekoTube-Inside – Efficient particulate matter reduction for your wood combustion

Features and functionality

The OekoTube-Inside is an electrostatic particle separator specially designed for wood-fired boilers up to 100 kW. It is easily installed in the boiler room between the boiler and the chimney inlet and ensures a noticeable reduction in particulate matter emissions.

The ionized stainless steel tube electrically charges fine dust particles and deposits them on the inner walls. This converts dangerous fine particles into harmless smaller particles that can be easily removed later.

Efficiency and performance

With a tested filtration efficiency of up to 95% (at 0–25 kW), the OekoTube-Inside offers outstanding filter performance. Even at higher power levels, efficiency remains high, with up to 80% filtration efficiency in the 75–100 kW range.

Optional extensions such as longer electrodes and larger separation distances optimize cleaning intervals and adapt the system to individual performance requirements – particularly recommended for combustion systems over 50 kW.

Construction and installation

The particle separator is supplied as a pre-assembled pipe in lengths of 500 or 1000 mm. The chimney builder connects it directly to the flue gas line, with a cleaning opening installed before and after the separator.

For existing chimneys, the flue pipe variant offers retrofitting without great effort. Using a template, an opening is cut into the chimney, the insulator chamber is secured, and the electrode is centered.

Operation and maintenance

An integrated temperature sensor automatically switches the OekoTube-Inside on and off at operating temperature. The separated particles collect on the inner wall and clump together to form coarse residue.

During the chimney sweep's inspection, the system is simply cleaned with a chimney brush. Thanks to flexible electrodes, no separate components need to be disassembled – manual cleaning is usually sufficient.

Funding opportunities and approvals

The OekoTube-Inside is eligible for BAFA funding and carries the German DIBT approval Z-7.4-3451. TÜV-tested safety and tested separation efficiency make it a reliable solution for environmentally conscious heating operators.
