Areas of application and compatibility

The 9 kW 1½" male threaded heating element is ideal for buffer tanks, domestic hot water tanks, and solar storage tanks where water or enamelled containers need to be heated. Thanks to its standard 1½" male threaded connection, the electric heating element fits easily into most common storage tank fittings.

Whether in the heating system, for solar backup heating or for providing domestic hot water – this heating element offers a versatile solution for private and commercial applications.

Performance data and technology

With a rated output of 9 kW, the heating element delivers high heat energy at an operating voltage of 3-400 V. The installation length is... 720 mm, whereby approximately 120 mm from the sealing surface remain unheated to avoid temperature damage in the storage tank connection.

The stepless temperature setting from 30–75 °C enables precise control of the water temperature and contributes to the energy efficiency of the entire system.

Thermostats and safety

The integrated controller allows for convenient adjustment of the target temperature. Additionally, a fixed safety temperature limiter (STB) is installed at 98 °C, reliably preventing overheating and thus ensuring maximum operational safety.

Materials and corrosion protection

The heating cartridge features an insulating barrier that prevents corrosion between the electric heating element and the water. The tube jacket is made of Incoloy 825 (material 2.4858), which offers excellent resistance to aggressive media.

A brass screw head and a robust ABS plastic housing complete the high-quality workmanship and guarantee a long service life even under continuous operation.

Installation and ease of use

Thanks to its IP54 protection rating, the heating element is protected against splashing water and is suitable for use in damp environments. Easy installation into the existing 1½" male thread connection allows for quick installation and trouble-free replacement of old heating elements.
