The 12 kW electric heating cartridge is ideal for emergency heating or supplementary heating in buffer tanks, drinking water storage tanks, and solar storage tanks. Thanks to the robust Incoloy 825 (2.4858) pipe jacket material and integrated insulation, it is also ideally suited for continuous operation.

The heating element features a continuously adjustable thermostat (30–75 °C) and a fixed safety temperature limiter (98 °C). The unheated zone of approximately 130 mm from the sealing surface ensures safe installation without overheating near the connection point.

Areas of application

Ideal for use in buffer tanks from various manufacturers with a 1½" male thread connection. Also suitable as emergency heating in drinking water tanks and enameled steel tanks where additional heating capacity is needed at short notice.

The heating cartridge can also provide support in solar storage systems to compensate for temperature losses overnight or when there is little sunlight.

Installation and assembly

Before installation, be sure to check the maximum installation length and diameter of your storage tank. The 760 mm installation length and 130 mm unheated zone must fit inside the tank.

The heating cartridge is simply screwed into the 1½" male thread and electrically connected to the 3~400 V mains. Thanks to the brass screw head, it can be installed securely and tightly.

Safety and Operations

The continuously adjustable thermostat allows temperatures between 30°C and 75°C to meet individual water temperature requirements. The fixed safety temperature limiter at 98°C protects against overheating.

With its high IP54 protection rating and safety feature, the heating cartridge can be used without problems in humid environments and in conjunction with drinking water tanks. All components are designed for maximum operational reliability to ensure safe, continuous operation.
